The charging network operator MOVE Mobility, based in Granges-Paccot and Dübendorf, is now responsible for managing access and billing for SOCAR's charging stations. SOCAR, the quality brand in the Swiss service station and energy business, is represented with over 200 locations throughout the country and currently operates 20 fast charging stations at 14 locations, including 8 stations on highways. SOCAR also holds one of five concessions from the Federal Roads Office Astra for the initial construction of 20 new electric fast-charging stations at Swiss highway rest areas.
The decision in favor of MOVE Mobility was made due to its great flexibility and IT expertise, says Ralf Schilken, Head of Retail at SOCAR. "MOVE's platform offers impressive opportunities in this rapidly developing market and convinced us right from the start. In addition, MOVE's experts were able to quickly and reliably connect their IT platform to our well-established processes and systems for operating the charging stations and our billing system for fleet customers. The change of provider went smoothly and unnoticed by our customers. As a result, the SOCAR Card enables our customers not only to refuel, store at the service station and wash their cars, but also to charge them."
